Hi
I have just started renovating the cabin of my 24 family, I am removing the windows as they leak water.
Does anyone know the correct adhesive used to fit the windows back in? Also I am stripping the windows down and cleaning then putting back together so would also like some advice on the correct sealant to do this job? Any information on this subject will be greatly received.

We have a sealant adhesive and a glass sealant cleaning cloth in our Web-shop. Price of each: SEK 250. The sealant is of the brand which was used by Coronet originally.

Has anyone on the forum stripped and rebuilt these windows before?
And if so how much sealant and adhesive would you recommend?

I have stripped 3 of the windows into pieces and cleaned all parts involved, this was a very lengthy process!!!
Can someone tell me the purpose of the string that is within the frame of each window? Was this a moisture catching idea and would it be advisable to replace this with a modern alternative?
Your advice will be greatly recieved.

It just dawned on me Is this string asbestos?!!
Any info on the construction of theses windows would be appreciated?
